Comments should be directed to the Council Chair and commenters should not expect any debate with or responses from the City Council, Mayor, or City Staff. However, as a point of personal privilege Council Members, the Mayor, and Staff may respond to public comments if recognized by the Council Chair. Members of the City Council strive to create a respectful and professional decorum during Council Meetings so that the meeting can be conducted in an orderly, efficient, effective, and dignified manner. It is our desire that each person attending a City Council meeting feel safe, respected, and comfortable participating in their government. Ordinance No. 23-06 proposed amendments to Nuisance Animals and Animal Licensing Provisions in West Jordan City Code Title 6, Chapter 3, Section 6-3B-3 and 6-3B-4
Ordinance No. 23-02 amending West Jordan City Code Title 2, Chapter 6, Section 2 and 3 to modify the criteria for entities to obtain monetary or non-monetary assistance from the City.
Ordinance No. 23-03 amending West Jordan City Code Title 3, Chapter 4 Section 1 and 2 regarding the waiver of fees, fines, and non-profit assistance to conform with Utah State Code Section 10-8-2 Power and Duties of Municipalities.

Business License Code – originally presented to Council during Committee of the Whole on August 10, 2022, continued discussions on November 16, 2022. Staff will bring back amendments for continued discussions at a future meeting. Currently with Code Enforcement.
Criteria for Conditional Use Permit Approvals – held a Public Hearing on November 16, 2022. Council requested the item be brought back to a Committee of the Whole for further discussions. Currently with staff.
Landlord / Tenant Agreements – discussed a proposed Landlord / Tenant agreement during Committee of the Whole on December 21, 2022. Currently with staff.
Veteran’s Memorial Park Master Plan – introduced to Council during a Work Session on February 9, 2022. Currently with Administration. Parks Project Manager has been hired.
City Center Visioning – Council discussed City Center visioning during a Strategic Planning Work Session on February 9, 2022 and again during a Work Session on March 9, 2022. Currently with staff and in coordination with Station Area Plan working group.
West Jordan Cultural Arts Society Contract Revision (WJCAS) – reported to Council on April 13, 2022. Council discussed the contract with WJCAS further during a Work Session on April 27, 2022, and requested contract revisions. Currently with Administration.
Election Code Amendments – related to census precincts. Waiting for information from Salt Lake County. Tentatively scheduled for Committee of the Whole on February 15, 2023.
